New Delhi: India from the past few days has been witnessing a rise in daily Covid-19 cases. The country on Sunday logged 1,604 fresh cases in the past 24 hours.
With this, India’s tally of Covid-19 infection rose to 4,46,52,266, while the active cases declined to 18,317, which accounts for 0.04 per cent of the total cases, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.02 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 1.08 per cent, according to the ministry.
A total of 2,081 patients recovered in the last 24 hours which increased the total recoveries to 4,41,04,933, as per the data.
The country has conducted over 90.08 crore covid tests till date, while 1,57,218 were done in the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry, 219.63 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination drive.
