New Delhi: India’s Covid-19 infection tally climbed to 1,11,39,516 with 14,989 fresh cases recorded in the last 24 hours, while 1,08,12,044 people have recuperated so far, according to Union Health Ministry data on Wednesday.
In the last 24 hours, 98 people succumbed to the deadly virus while 13,123 were discharged from hospitals, according to the health ministry. With this, the death toll due to the contagious virus has reached 1,57,346 in the country.
The active number of coronavirus cases stands at 1,70,126 in the country, the data stated.
In addition, so far 1,56,20,749 people have been administered the Covid-19 vaccine under India’s mega inoculation programme, the ministry said.
