New Delhi: India on Monday reported 46,148 new Covid-19 cases, taking the tally to 3,02,79,331, according to Union Health Ministry data.
The death toll climbed to 3,96,730 with 979 more people succumbing to the viral disease in a day. The number of active cases further declined to 5,72,994 and now constitutes 1.89 per cent of the total cases. Daily recoveries continued to outnumber the daily new cases for the 46th consecutive day.
Over 58,578 patients recovered during the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 2,93,09,607 across the country.
