India-China 9th round of Corps Commander level talks last for over 15 hrs

New Delhi: The ninth round of Corps Commander Level talks between India and China ended at 2:30 am on Monday.

The meeting lasted for more than 15 hours after starting at 9.30 am yesterday in Moldo. The meeting was attended by 14 Corps Commander Lt. Gen. PGK Menon from the Indian side and Major General Liu Lin, Southern Xinjiang Military Region Commander from the Chinese side.

India, it is learnt has told China that the onus of disengagement is PLA.  Lt Gen PGK Menon, the Corps Commander of Leh-based HQ 14 Corps led the Indian delegation for the talks.

Earlier, in the eighth round of talks held on November 6, the two sides discussed extensively on the withdrawal of troops from particular places of confrontation. India has been consistently saying that it is the responsibility of China to carry forward the process of withdrawing troops from all the conflict zones in the mountainous region and reduce the tension.
