India: Biggest Spike With 8380 Covid-19 Cases in Last 24 Hours; Cases Cross 1.82 Lakh-Mark

New Delhi: India reported the biggest single-day jump in the number of new coronavirus patients with 8,380 fresh cases reported in the last 24 hours.

Total confirmed COVID-19 cases in India have risen to 1,82,143, according to the latest update from the Union Health Ministry. This number includes cases involving foreign nationals, patients who have recovered and the death toll.

The death toll in India due to the novel coronavirus pandemic has risen to 5,164.

The reported active COVID-19 cases in India now stand at 89,995, according to the Union Health Ministry.

As many as 86,984 COVID-19 patients have been cured and discharged so far.

Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat have reported the highest number of cases.

Globally, there have been over 60.5 lakh confirmed cases of COVID-19. At least 3.69 lakh people have died so far. The United States, Brazil, Russia, the United Kingdom and Spain are the most-affected countries.
