Hulunbuir: India defeated Pakistan 2-1 in their final Asian Champions Trophy group stage fixture, at the Moqi Hockey Training Base in Hulunbuir, China.
The win saw India maintain their unbeaten run in this tournament. Pakistan initially took the lead via Nadeem, who scored in the first quarter. But Harmanpreet Singh had other plans and converted a penalty corner to make it 1-1 ahead of the second quarter.
Then in the second quarter, Harmanpreet completed his brace by completing another drag-flick to make it 2-1. The score remained 2-1 as both sides battled hard in the remaining two quarters. India tried to find another goal to settle the proceedings. Meanwhile, Pakistan fought for an equaliser but failed to find one.
