Cardiff: India rolled to victory against Bangladesh with a win of 95 runs in their final warm-up match at Cardiff on Tuesday ahead of the upcoming Cricket World Cup.
India posted a competitive target of 360 runs after Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl first. Wicketkeeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni and KL Rahul earned centuries each.
Dhoni scored an unstoppable 113 runs off 78 balls and Rahul gave a fabulous performance with his 108 runs off 99 balls. Captain Virat Kohli also added 47 off 46 balls to the scoreboard.
The Indian bowling team also added the needed balance as Kuldeep Yadav dismissed 3 wickets for 47 runs off his 10 overs while Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed 3 wickets for 55 runs in his 10 overs. Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets for 25 runs in 5 overs bowled.
The ICC World Cup 2019 will begin on May 30 with England and South Africa coming face-to-face for the opening match of the tournament. India’s first match will be against South Africa on 5 June.
