IND vs ENG, 3rd T20: England Beat India By Eight Wickets
Ahmedabad: England has bounced back with a terrific response as Morgan and Co. defeated India by eight wickets in the third T20 International to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series here on Tuesday.
England, who were chasing 157, looked in control all through finishing things off in 18.2 overs, having lost the wickets of Jason Roy and Dawid Malan only.
Eoin Morgan unleashed his fast bowlers Mark Wood (3/31) and Chris Jordan (2/35) to restrict the hosts for 156 for 6.
England skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to field against India. England brought back pacer Mark Wood in place of medium pacer Tom Curran. For India, vice-captain Rohit Sharma came back in place of Suryakumar Yadav. Ishan Kishan, who opened in the last game, batted at number three.
Buttler showed his mastery in white ball format as he smashed a 52-ball 83.
Virat Kohli was the top-scorer for India with his unbeaten 46-ball 77 after India were invited to take first strike. For England, Mark Wood (3/31) took three wickets to emerge as the most successful bowler, while Chris Jordon (1/35) claimed one.
