Ind vs Aus 2nd T20I: Aussies win match, grabs series with 2-0 victory

Bengaluru: India on Wednesday lost the second T20I against Australia following which Aussies also grabbed the series with a 2-0 victory.

Glenn Maxwell’s scintillating 113 off 55 balls helped Australia to register their maiden T20 series victory over India at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here.

Maxwell’s century overshadowed Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s 38-ball 72 which helped India post a competitive 190/4 in 20 overs. Kohli’s brilliance and Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s 23-ball 40 added a 100-run stand for the fourth wicket.

Australia had won the first T-20 in Vizag on February 24 by 3 wickets.

Prior to the game, Australia had never beaten India in a T20 series, home or away in the last decade. Austria had beaten India way back in 2008 at Melbourne.
