Australia have completed a record chase with 4 balls to spare. Matthew Wade’s unbeaten 46 and Cameron Green’s stunning 30-ball 61 helps Australia get past the finish line and go 1-0 up in the 3-match series. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel leaked 102 runs in 8 overs without a wicket.
The way Aaron Finch started the chase (with a six), the intentions were very clear. It was but the blinder from Cameron Green that silenced the crowd. He played a sumptuous innings of 61 runs off just 30 balls. After his wicket, Australia did get off the track as the middle order failed to make an impact but that is when the deep batting line up comes into play for the Aussie.
Matthew Wade showed his experience and he along with Tim David’s cameo helped them chase the huge score in style.
