Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours over the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Kandhamal, and Gajapati due to the cyclonic circulation over the West-central Bay of Bengal off the south Andhra Pradesh coast.
The latest IMD prediction suggests that thunderstorms with lightning may occur at one or two places in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
On May 10, the weather office anticipates light to moderate rain or thundershowers in South Odisha and one or two places in North Odisha.
The IMD forecast for May 11 suggests that light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places across the districts of Odisha.
For May 12, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are predicted in many places in South Odisha and in a few places in North Odisha. Similarly, the forecast indicates that light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely in many places in Odisha on May 13 and May 14.
On July 7, Nuapada experienced the highest temperature of 36.4°C, while Boudh and Pulbani recorded the lowest temperature of 22.5°C.
