IMD issues yellow warning for several Odisha dists

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre here on Saturday issued yellow warning for several districts of Odisha.

According to a release by the Meteorological Centre, a cyclonic circulation lies at 0.9 km above mean sea level over east Bihar. A trough at 0.9 km above mean sea level runs from north Kerala to south Chhattisgarh across interior Karnataka, Marathawada and Vidarbha. Under the impact of which light to moderate rain will occur at some places of Odisha till 1st April.

Day 1: (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.03.2020 up to 0830 hrs IST of 29.03.2020)— Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundragarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi & Koraput and dry weather likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Day 2: (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 29.03.2020 up to 0830 hrs IST of 30.03.2020)— Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Koraput, Malkangiri, Dhenkanal, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj,Jajpur, Balasore, Cuttack & Bhadrak and dry weather likely to prevail over the rest
districts of Odisha.

Yellow warning(be updated):
Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Boudh, Angul, Mayurbhanj & Koraput.

Day 3: (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 30.03.2020 up to 0830 hrs IST of 31 .03.2020)— Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.

Yellow warning(be updated):
Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Kandhamal, Boudh, Dhenkanal & Mayurbhanj. Also hailstorm likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kandhamal, Boudh, Cuttack, Jajpur, Kendrapada & Bhadrak.

Day 4: (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 31.03.2020 up to 0830 hrs IST of 01.04.2020)– Light rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri & Keonjhar and dry weather
likely to to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Yellow warning(be updated):
Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Gajapati, Koraput, Keonjhar & Mayurbhanj.

Day 5: (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 01.04.2020 up to 0830 hrs IST of 02.04.2020. Dry weather very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
