New Delhi: In a tragic incident, a third-year B. Tech student from New Delhi, studying at IIT Bhubaneswar, allegedly died by suicide late Tuesday night. The student reportedly jumped off the roof of her hostel building.
The young girl’s body was spotted in a pool of blood on the IIT campus late Tuesday night.
She was immediately rushed to Capital Hospital, where she was declared dead upon arrival.
Students rushed to her aid after hearing the sound of her fall and immediately took her to a medical facility inside the IIT campus. She was then shifted to Capital Hospital. However, she was declared dead.
Her body is currently kept in Capital Hospital. Her family members have been informed and they are on their way to Bhubaneswar, sources informed.
A probe to ascertain the reason behind her death is on, police said.
