Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Saturday effected a minor reshuffle in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre transferring seven officials working in different posts.
According to the notification issued by the general administration and public grievance department, the officials have been given new assignments by the order of the Governor.
Bishnupada Sethi, at present Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department with an additional charge of Special Relief Commissioner and Managing Director, OSDMA, Bhubaneswar has been appointed as Commissioner, Commercial Taxes and GST.
Sethi is also allowed to remain in additional charge of Special Relief Commissioner, Odisha, and Managing Director, OSDMA in addition to his own duties.
similarly, Saswata Mishra, at present the the Commissioner, Commercial Taxes and GST and Ex-officio Special Secretary to Government, Finance Department has been appointed as Higher Education Department Commissioner-cum-Secretary, while, Dr Krishan Kumar, the Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Cooperation Department with additional charge of Special Secretary to Govt Agriculture and FE Department and Chairman, Odisha State Warehousing Corporation, Bhubaneswar is allowed to remain in additional charge of Secretary, Works Department in addition to his own duties.
Prasanta Kumar Senapati has been appointed as Secretary, Board of Revenue, Odisha.
Ratnakar Rout, at present the Director, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, has been allowed to remain in additional charge of Director, Fisheries, Odisha, Cuttack in addition to his own duties.
Balwant Singh, the Director, Technical Education and Training with an additional charge of Director, Agricultural Marketing and Member Secretary, OSAM Board, Bhubaneswar is allowed to remain in additional charge of Vice-Chairman, Bhubaneswar Development Authority in addition to his own duties.
Prem Chandra ChaudharyDirector (I/c) Special Projects, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department with additional charge of Chief Executive Officer of Biju Yuva Bahini and Director of State Institute for Rural Development has been allowed to remain in additional charge of Controller, Legal Metrology-cum- Director Consumer Affairs, Odisha, Bhubaneswar in addition to his own duties until further orders.
On the other hand, the additional appointment of Prem Kumar Jha (IFS) as Vice-Chairman, Bhubaneswar Development Authority, Bhubaneswar vide this Department Office Order No.6816/AIS.I dated 01k3.2019 shall stand terminated from the date Shri Balwant Singh, IAS takes over.
