Kandhamal/Koraput: In a major crackdown on illegal possession of contraband, cops seized ganja consignment in Kandhamal and Koraput districts of Odisha.
Acting on reliable input, police conducted a raid near Badapada ghat and seized ganja worth around Rs 10 lakh.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of procurement of the cannabis.
In another seizure, police confiscated over 54 kg of ganja from a truck following a raid in Kandhamal district.
Acting on a tip-off, the cops intercepted the vehicle and seized contraband from it. Four persons have also been arrested in this connection.
Further investigation is underway in this regard.
