Mumbai: The makers of Housefull 4 have roped in Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati in place of actor Nana Patekar after the latter’s exit from the project.
Earlier, director Sajid Khan was also dropped out of the project.
Patekar had left the production last month in the wake of sexual harassment allegations against him by actress Tanushree Dutta while Sajid was replaced after three women accused him of sexual misconduct.
Housefull 4 is the fourth installment of the Housefull comedy series directed by Sajid Khan. The film also stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Kharbanda and Kriti Sanon.
According to reports, Daggubati will play a ghazal singer in the comedy flick. The scenes involving Patekar that were filmed in Jaisalmer will be re-shot with the Baahubali actor in Mumbai.
Apart from a successful career in Telugu and Tamil cinema, Daggubati has appeared in several Hindi films including Dum Maaro Dum (2011), Baby (2015) and the Telugu-Hindi bilingual The Ghazi Attack (2017).
