Highest Single-Day Spike! India’s Coronavirus Tally Crosses 8 Lakh-Mark


New Delhi: India recorded 519 deaths and the highest single-day spike of 27,114 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

Total confirmed COVID-19 cases in India have risen to 8,20,916, according to the latest update by from the Union Health Ministry. This number includes cases involving foreign nationals, patients who have recovered and the death toll.

The death toll in India due to the novel coronavirus pandemic has risen to 22,123.

The reported active COVID-19 cases in India stand at 2,83,407, according to the Union Health Ministry.

As many as 5,15,385 COVID-19 patients have been cured and discharged so far.

Reportedly,  1,13,07,002 samples tested for COVID-19 till July 10, of these 2,82,511 samples were tested yesterday, says the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
