High-level meeting held ahead of President Kovind’s visit to Odisha


Bhubaneswar: The State Government has started preparation for the one day visit of President Ram Nath Kovind to the sate on December 8.

A high-level meeting to review the preparations relating to aircraft, guard of honour, security arrangements, accommodation, carcade and transport arrangements, medical and health care for the VVIP, uninterrupted power supply, barricading was held at the DG Camp in Bhubaneswar today.

The meeting was led by interim Director General of Police (DGP) Satyajit Mohanty Sharma who discussed various security aspects.

Mohanty, has informed that 50 platoons of the police force will be deployed during the President’s visit to Odisha.

Sources said, on December 8 Kovind is slated to lay the foundation stone of martyrs’ memorial in Khurda and will attend a special function in the Utkal University.
