New Delhi: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan thanks PM and MoC Prahlad Singh Patel for withdrawal of notification for proposed Heritage By-laws for Puri Srimandir.
Worthwhile to mention here that two days ago, Pradhan discussed on the matter with Singh over telephone on the Heritage By-laws and put forth his standpoint that the sensitive religious matter should be deliberated upon for some more time before it is enforced.
The Union Minister said the proposed By-law’s draft should be made available in Odia language so that proper feedback could be received on the matter.
He said the government should give due respect to Jagannath culture. Pradhan on Monday also met Singh along with a delegation of BJP MPs to convince the Minister to withdraw the Bylaw for the benefit of Odias and Jagannath culture. They also submitted a memorandum to the Minister in this connection.
Reports said Singh had tweeted that the By law has been withdrawn with immediate effect.
