Hemant Soren to take oath as Jharkhand CM


Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Hemant Soren will take the oath of office and secrecy on Sunday.

Hemant Soren will take oath as the 11th Chief Minister of Jharkhand. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at 2 pm at Morabadi ground in Ranchi.

As Jharkhand chief minister-designate Hemant Soren is all set to be sworn-in as the 11th chief minister of the state on Sunday, the opposition is also geared up to show its strength in the oath-taking ceremony.

Accompanied by leaders of alliance partners — the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) – Hemant Soren met Governor Draupadi Murmu at Raj Bhawan on Tuesday (December 24) and staked claim to form the government after the alliance collectively bagged 47 seats with JMM emerging as the single-largest party in Jharkhand Assembly polls.Jharkhand caretaker Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Friday said that he will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Hemant Soren on December 29. Hemant Soren had invited Raghubar Das over the phone.
