Bhubaneswar: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur over several places in Odisha for the next five days as a low pressure area is likely to form over north Odisha and its neighbourhood around July 4.
According to the IMD’s latest bulletin, a cyclonic circulation lies over Bangladesh & neighbourhood and extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height. Under its influence, a Low Pressure Area is likely to form over north Odisha & neighbourhood during the next 48 hours.
The IMD further stated that light to moderate rain/thundershower have occurred at most places over the districts of South Interior Odisha and at many places over the rest districts of Odisha with heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh & Jagatsinghpur and heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Puri, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Boudhgarh, Khurda, Mayurbhanj & Kendrapara.
