Mumbai: As rain lashed Mumbai bringing the city to a standstill over the last 24 hours, several flights have been diverted and cancelled at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA).
Reportedly, at least 54 flights have been diverted while 52 flights were cancelled due to inclement weather, (crosswinds and tailwinds).
Besides, local train services in Mumbai have taken a hit on account of the heavy rains and the relevant authorities posting updates on what services and routes are operational.
Road traffic has also been disrupted, with the Mumbai Police posting updates on the situation.
On the other hand, the Indian Navy has deployed its personnel and resources to assist local authorities in aid and rescue operations.
