Half yearly exams of Tamil Nadu govt, aided schools to be cancelled

Chennai: The half yearly examinations will be cancelled this year for government and government aided schools, Tamil Nadu Education Minister KA Sengottaiyan said.

The decision was left on the school administration of private schools, the minister said and added that the private schools have the options either to cancel the half yearly examinations or conduct them online.

The minister warned that the educational institutes of stern action if found flouting the coronavirus guidelines and advised the authorities for preventing the spread of deadly disease in the state.

Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan told the media that a detailed guidelines and SOPs have been issued already by the government.
