Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Panchayat Clerk Recruitment Exam 2023, scheduled to be held today, (January 29), has been cancelled after a question paper leak.
The notification in this regard was issued by the Gujarat Panchayat Services Selection Board (GPSSB) this morning.
The exams were scheduled on Sunday at 11 a.m.
“The Panchayat Junior Clerk recruitment exam in Gujarat has been postponed. Over 9.50 lakh candidates registered for the exam which was to be conducted from 11 am, free return journey in GSRTC buses was announced for candidates,” the Gujarat Chief Minister’s Office said in a statement.
On the basis of the information received by the police, a suspect Isam was arrested and a copy of the question paper of the above examination was found from him. Criminal police action and further investigation is being done, said GPSSB.
“The examination will be conducted afresh at the earliest, for which the board will issue a new advertisement,” GPSSB said.
