Athens: Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a press statement released from her office.
According to a statement released by her office, the president has mild symptoms and will stay in quarantine at home.
Following this, her all engagements have been cancelled until she recovers.
It is pertinent to mention that earlier this spring, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had contracted the virus and recovered.
Both have been vaccinated and received booster shots.
