New Delhi: The government has set March 17 as deadline for submitting Expression of Interest (EoI) from bidders for acquiring 100 per cent stake in Air India.
The government on Monday invited the EoI from the potential bidders in this connection.
The qualified bidders will be notified March 31, as per bid document issued by the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah-headed Group of Ministers (GoM) had approved the EoI as well as the share purchase agreement for the ailing airline’s privatisation.
More importantly, the committee had okayed all proposals, including the transfer of Air India’s debt of around Rs 60,000 crore to the special purpose vehicle.
