Governance isn’t about winning elections: PM Modi
Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today that the BJP does not believe in vote bank politics and the party’s sole agenda was the country’s development.
“For us, governance is not about votes or winning elections. The priority is the well-being of the nation. Our culture is different as for us, country is bigger than party,” he said.
Among the major events on Friday was the flagging off of the new Varanasi-Vadodara Mahamana Express.
“Doubling of farmers’ income is an area in which significant work is being done;” PM Modi said and added, “Let us build on the strides we have made in the dairy sector.
Modi arrived in his parliamentary constituency on a two-day visit on Friday to launch a number of projects and development schemes.
