New Delhi: Google on Friday honoured ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve Irwin through its Doodles. The Doodle in its own unique way celebrated the 57th birth anniversary of Irwin.
Google Doodle acknowledged the life and achievements of the Australian zookeeper, conservationist, and television personality. Google in the slideshow of illustrations portrayed the Australian wildlife conservationist exploring the great outdoors, holding a crocodile and hanging out with his wife Terri and kids Bindi and Robert.
This day is also observed as Australia’s National Wildlife Day remembering Irwin, whose efforts to protect wildlife and wild places have been recognised.
Irwin died at 44, after being pierced in the heart by a stingray barb while filming a documentary.
