Goa imposes night curfew from 10pm-6 am till April 30

New Delhi: Goa government has imposed night curfew from 10 pm to 6 am starting from Wednesday night for 10 days till April 30.

The casinos, restaurants, bars and cinema halls will be allowed to operate at 50 per cent capacity only, the state government order said.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the government will review the situation after April 30. The high level meeting was attended by Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and Revenue Minister Jeniffer Monserratte.

Petrol pumps, pharmacies and other essential services will remain open during the curfew hours, he said. The chief minister said there is no ban on industries and other economic activities.

Religious places including temples, mosques and churches have been barred from organising mass gatherings.

The Goa Board has also postponed examinations for Class 10 and 12. The Board will inform 15 days in advance before holding the exams, CM Sawant said.
