Gauri Lankesh murder case: SIT releases sketches
Bengaluru: In a major development in journalist Gauri Lankesh murder case, the Karnataka Police Special Investigation Team (SIT) has today released sketches of the suspected killers.
The probe team has also released a video of the suspects that they obtained during the investigation.
The sketches have been released based on CCTV footage obtained and, according to the investigators; the attackers were in the city for at least seven days before the murder and inspected Lankesh’s house and the locality. At least 250 people have been interrogated in connection with the case.
Lankesh, a known critic of right-wing Hindu extremism, was shot to death by unknown assailants outside her home on September 5, who came with an accomplice on a motorcycle.
