Berhampur: The Block Development Officer (BDO) of Ganjam’s Patrapur has been detained by some villagers in Tumba over the alleged omission of names in the voter list.
The officer, identified as Prakash Das, was en route to the Tumba area, was detained by some locals and abused making him responsible for the same.
The villagers alleged that due to the omission of their names in the voter list, they were unable to cast vote in the 3rd phase.
On being informed, a police team rushed to the spot to check the probabilities of any mishaps.
