Ganjam: An accused who was detained by the police allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself inside Golanthara police station in Ganjam district.
Police said that they had detained the accused for investigation in connection with a group clash at Rangipura.
However, cops found the youth dead as he hanged himself with a belt inside the police station enclosure.
Meanwhile, the actual circumstances that led to the accused adopting the extreme step are yet to be established.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
