Boudh: Ganja plantation worth crores of rupees have been destroyed during a joint raid in Manamunda area of Boudh district on Thursday.
According to sources, a joint squad of Excise officials along with officials of revenue and forest department conducted raids and destroyed ganja cultivation in different villages of Manamunda area. The estimated cost of the cannabis plantation is said to be around Rs 11 crore.
The officials uprooted and destroyed several acres of fully-grown marijuana. The ganja cultivations were burnt to ashes at over 107 acres of lands.
It may be mentioned here that Odisha Police has intensified the crackdown on illegal cannabis cultivation in different parts of the State.
