Gajapati: R.Udayagiri police and excise officials have destroyed ganja cultivation on around 99 acres of farmland at Sugad Nuasahi village in Gajapati district.
The officials uprooted the plants and set them on fire.
Acting on a tip-off, police and excise officials conducted a raid in the district today and destroyed the ganja cultivation amounting to around Rs 19.98 crores.
A case has been registered against the cultivators. A probe has been launched in this connection.
