Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) has summoned BJP leader Bhuban Mohan Jena to depose at its office here today over his alleged nexus with gangster Tito.
The STF has served the notice to Bhuban Mohan Jena, the BJP State Executive member, in case No 8 filed against gangster Tito under Sections 386, 411, 414, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120(B) of IPC.
The STF had registered a case (8/2018) under Sections 386, 411, 414, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120 (b) of IPC against Tito regarding his illegal wealth amassed through organised crime, tender fixing, extortion, robbery and also by acquiring petrol pumps by violating guidelines.
Tito was arrested by the STF following an encounter on June 30 last year. The CBI officials had raided the petrol pump of Tito’s wife in Kendrapara in the presence of the officials of STF. The STF had sealed the petrol pump in Kendrapara and COCO unit in Paradip.
Earlier, the STF had sealed commercial and residential premises of Tito and his associates in Kendrapara, Pattamundai and Paradip.
