Galwan clash: Chinese govt forcing soldiers’ families not to conduct funerals

Washington: A US intelligence report claimed Chinese government has been forcing families of its soldiers killed in Galwan clash not to conduct burials and funeral ceremonies.

China is denying burials in order to cover up its ‘blunder’, the report said.

Media reports said that China is not accepting that its soldiers were not killed in the recent showdown with India in order to hide the incident.

The Chinese Ministry of Civil Affairs has told families of those who died in the Galwan Valley clash that they must forgo traditional burial ceremonies and cremate the soldiers’ remains.
