Gajapati: While schools across Odisha have reopened for Class X and XII students, as many as 26 teachers, two students and one employee of schools tested positive for deadly Covid-19 virus in Gajapati district.
This was informed by the Chief District Medical Officer Pradip Kumar Patra.
Reportedly, tests showed that 17 teachers from Mohana block tested positive for the virus whereas 14 others were found infected at the Covid test centre in the District Headquarters Hospital at Paralakhemundi.
Notably, Gajapati district administration carried out the Covid test of teachers and other employees of schools in the district before the reopening of the educational institutions as per the guidelines laid by the government.
