G Udaygiri Remains Coldest Place In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: G Udaygiri in Kandhamal district continued to remain as the coldest place in the state with the mercury level remaining at 8.2 degrees Celsius.

While the minimum temperature in G Udaygiri was 8.2 degrees Celcius, the minimum temperature at Daringbadi and Phulabani were 11.0 Degree C in the last 24 hours.

As per the manual observatory released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) this morning, Koraput registered 12.4 Degree C, followed by Nabarangpur 14.2. Bolangir, Sundargarh and Bhawanipatna (Kalahandi) registered 14.0 Degree C respectively.

Similarly, Khandapara (Nayagarh) recorded a minimum temperature of 11.9 Degree C, Kirei (Sundargarh)-13.0 and Lakhanpur (Jharsuguda)-13.3 Degree C.

Cuttack recorded a minimum temperature of 15.5 Degree C while Odisha’s capital city Bhubaneswar registered 17.1 Degree C.

While Sundargarh realized highest maximum temperature of 33.0 Degree C, Phulbani was the main station in the plains of Odisha to have recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11.0 Degree C, the IMD stated.
