New Delhi: A future nuclear war between India and Pakistan could immediately wipe out 100 million (10 crore) people from Earth, according to a study.
The researchers looked at a scenario circa 2025 and predicted that an India-Pak nuclear war would trigger global starvation and cooling on the planet.
The research paper was released at a time when tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours are at an all-time high.
It is worthwhile to recall that India scrapped the special status of Kashmir and divided the state of Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories.
Pakistan has been raising the issue globally and termed India’s move as “illegal”. Prime Minister of Pakistan has been harping on Kashmir at various global forum.
