Bhubaneswar: Police have arrested Matric fail fake doctor Ramesh Chandra Swain’s sister for her alleged complicity in the fraud case.
According to reports, Swain’s sister Rashmita Beura was picked up for questioning in connection with her alleged involvement in the frauds committed by her brother yesterday. However, other members of her family managed to escape from the house during the police raid.
Police said that Swain’s sister allegedly helped him to marry multiple women and also allegedly insisted to dupe those married women.
Notably, the 54-year-old Romeo of Odisha’s Kendrapara has married 18 women from various cities including Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Guwahati, and Chhattisgarh.
Swain was arrested by the Twin City police a few days back from the city following a complaint by one of his wives who had been tracking him.
