Bhubaneswar: In yet another big jolt for the Odisha Congress just ahead of the elections, senior leader and former MLA from Jagatsinghpur, Chiranjib Biswal today quit the Congress party.
Biswal has sent his resignation letter to OPCC President Sarat Pattnaik. Chiranjib was a veteran leader and had won from Tirtol in 2004 and Jagatsinghpur in 2014 as a Congress candidate.
Chiranjib, in his resignation letter, wrote “I hereby tender my resignation from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress. I request you to kindly accept my resignation with immediate effect.”
