Ganjam: Police here have arrested five persons in connection with the murder of former block chairman of Beguniapada, Debraj Sahoo.
The cops have also seized 3 pistols, 5 magazines, and 63 bullets from the possession of the accused persons.
Addressing a presser, a senior official informed that the murder case of Debraj Sahoo has been solved and the accused persons involved in the crime have been apprehended including mastermind Ajay Barik.
While no political angle has been found so far, the case is completely fallout of past enmity, said the senior official.
Notably, Debraj Sahoo was shot dead by some unidentified miscreants near a tea shop at Sumandal Chhak on January 20.
