Banki: Forest officials of Chandaka-Damapada range recovered a deer hide which was lying near the jungle of Bhagipur village on Sunday
Bhagipur section forester Pramod Rout said the deer skin was recovered during patrolling. He said it was not ascertained how it was lying there, but added that this might be a case of poaching. The poacher could have left the skin after taking the meat, Rout added.
During patrolling Sanjib Behera, Basant Nayak and Narendra Nayak had helped the forest official to recover the deer hide. Rout said the matter is being investigated.
