Five people of Pal Heights hotel owner’s family charred to death in city


Bhubaneswar: In a heart-wrenching incident, five persons including two minors of Pal Heights hotel owner’s family were charred to death after a massive fire broke out and engulfed their house in the wee hours on Thursday.

According to sources, a massive fire broke out at the city-based Pal Heights hotel owner’s house at Buddheswari Colony in Laxmi Sagar here following which owner Satpal Singh made a narrow escape being hurt while his son Gaganpal Singh, Daughter-in-law Bhavna Singh, Grandson Rubira Singh, Granddaughter Sohabi Singh and house maid Khushi Das were charred to death in the wee hours of today morning.

However, the fire has been doused; it is suspected that an electrical short circuit might have been the reason behind the fire mishap.
