Bhubaneswar: Five MoUs were signed on Tuesday in Make In Odisha Conclave 2018 to boost skill development and technical education in the state.
A world skill center will be set up in Bhubaneswar to impart technical and vocational training to youths of the state. The technical education and training will be of international standard.
The Vision of Skill Development in Odisha report was presented by Commissioner-cum-Secretary, SDTE Department, Sanjay Kumar Singh. He said Odisha will be the preferred destination and storehouse of skilled professionals in the world.

Bangalore based Schneider Electric India Foundation which is known as a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, will collaborate with Odisha government for the Electrical Programme as per requirement of industries.
Likewise, Yess Consultants, Delhi, having expertise in Placement Consulting Agency, will collaborate with Central Placement Cell of DTE&T, Odisha for placement of the students pursuing Diploma Education and Training in reputed organizations.
Pune based Tech Mahindra Limited a reliable leader in digital transformation, consultancy and business will collaborate with Central Placement Cell of DTE&T, Odisha for placement of students pursuing Diploma Education and ITI Training.
Another firm, Employability Bridge / Surgeforth Technologies, Private Ltd, Chennai will connect trained and assessed candidates with companies for suitable job opportunities. It will collaborate with Central Placement Cell of DTE&T, Odisha.
Over 4,000 students from various Colleges and varsities of the country have registered their names for the Hackathon event. The objective behind the Hackathon is to find out an IT-based solution for governance and public services to sort out problems of various departments.
