Five Jumbo Including Two Calves Rescued From Mud In Mayurbhanj

Mayurbhanj: At least five elephants including two calves were successfully rescued by the forest department staff who had got stuck in the mud at Katharama village in Kuliana block of Mayurbhanj district on Thursday morning.

According to reports, five elephants from a 33-member herd of tuskers had fallen into a pit dug for irrigating farmland.

On being informed, forest officials from Baripada Range rushed to the spot and rescued them.
