Bhadrak: A major fire broke out in three godowns in Chandbali area of Bhadrak district late last night. Although no casualty was reported from the incident, property worth over Rs 30 lakh reduced to ashes in the fire.
According to reports, the fire broke out in the godown near Sashtri Ghat in Chandbali area and later spread to two other godowns. Upon receiving the information, the fire department rushed at least five fire tenders to the spot to douse the flames.
However, around 2000 sacks of paddy were razed to ashes by the time.
Sources said, a huge stack of paddy and pipes stored in the three godowns was gutted.
