Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Chief Spokesperson on COVID-19, Subroto Bagchi, has urged every family to share the burden of female members at homes during the lockdown.
Bagchi said it was the desire of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik that each and every family of the state not to burden their female members with all the household chores during the unprecedented national lockdown.
The chief spokesperson said that staying at home doesn’t mean the male members just simply sit idle and ask the women members to cook varieties of dishes and gobble up three to four times a day.
Bagchi said as the summer season has set in, confining the female members inside the kitchen will break them mentally. This will result in the breaking down of the country, he added.
He advised them to be patient and equally share the household chores and at the same time encourage the children to chip in.
