Phulbani: A man and his son were injured after the ambulance they were travelling in met with a road accident at Munda Nayu under Daringbadi police station limits on Friday.
According to reports, the man was coming back to his native village at Muthabali of Khamankhol Panchayat under Baliguda block of Kandhamal district along with the dead body of his daughter who passed away at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur while undergoing treatment.
Sources said the family members were bringing back the body to the village in a private ambulance. However, the vehicle driver lost balance and skidded off road. The injured man and his son were rescued and admitted to Baliguda Hospital for treatment.
As per the latest reports, the condition of the father-son duo is stated to be normal. Besides, the police have started an investigation into the accident.
