New Delhi: Kunal Kamra, a well-known stand-up comedian, who is also famous for his sarcastic opinion against the Modi government, again landed in controversy.

Recently, Kamra made fun of a seven-year-old Indian boy in Berlin, by morphing his video singing in front of Prime Minister Modi.

Meanwhile, Ganesh Pol, the father of the boy has lashed out at comedian Kamra for sharing an edited video of his son and making it a political issue.

Kunal Kamra on Wednesday took to Twitter to post a morphed video of the seven-year-old singing a song in front of Prime Minister Modi.

Kamra had shared the video of the PM’s interaction with the child. But he replaced the song that the boy sang — ‘Hey Janmabhoomi Bharat’ — with another — ‘Mehengayi daayan khaaye jaat hain’ from the 2010 movie ‘Peepli Live’.

Calling Kamra “trash”, Ganesh Pol, the father of the child, tweeted: “He is my 7 year old son, who wanted to sing this song for his beloved Motherland. Though he is still very young but certainly he loves his country more than you Mr. Kamra or Kachra watever u are. Keep the poor boy out of your filthy politics & try to work on your poor jokes.”

The original video had gone viral shortly after the PM’s visit to Germany on Monday. The PM heaped praises on the boy for the song, saying, “Wah! Badhiya!”

PM Modi was in Germany to interact with top CEOs of both countries (India and Germany) at a roundtable meeting.

This comes after PM Modi praised the boy for singing a patriotic song. PM Modi arrived in Berlin early morning on Monday during his three-day visit to the European countries of Germany, Denmark and France.

People called out Kamra for dragging an innocent boy into his dirty politics. He was trolled for using the boy for his mudslinging on PM Modi.
